According to the latest USDA Crop Progress Report, North Dakota dry beans rated 13 percent poor, 40 percent fair, and 38 percent excellent. Setting pods are almost complete at 97 percent. Half of dry beans are dropping leaves. For Minnesota, dry edible beans reached 98 percent setting pods and 47 percent dropping leaves. Dry beans rated 62 percent good to excellent condition.
