NDSU Extension Cropping Systems Specialist Greg Endres released the seed yield summary of dry bean plant establishment factors. Endres found that pinto bean varieties yielding above the trial average ranged from 1-11 percent or greater. Yield data was similar among five pinto bean trials comparing strip-till with conventional. Endres also found that planting pinto, black and navy beans early or late did not improve yield compared to the normal planting window. You can find the full report here.
