The Minnesota Department of Agriculture has opened applications for the Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation Crop Research Grant Program. The funding is intended to generate applied crop research that will improve product quality, quantity, or value within Minnesota cropping industry. Special consideration will be given to research on crops with limited access to other research funds. MDA is set to award roughly $1.2 million with a maximum grant amount of $250,000 per proposal. Applications are due on November 30, 2023.
