The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development awarded Value-Added and Regional Food System grants to 24 Michigan producers, including Shady Side Farm, Inc. $30,000 was awarded to expand the West Michigan specialty and dry bean processing project.
Founded in 1976, Northarvest Bean Growers Association (NBGA) represents the largest group of dry bean farmers in America, working together to fund research, promote, and produce the finest beans in the world.
