A Look at Manitoba Pulse Crops

Pulse crops in Manitoba have fared well against sporadic rainfall and below-normal temperatures for the past month. According to Provincial Pulse Specialist Dennis Lange, dry beans have seen an increase of 15,000 acres from last years 130,000 acres. Lange says the reason is mostly due to crop rotation. Dry peas may not recover, but dry beans and soybeans should continue to benefit from expected rainfall.
