Argentina typically producers around 500,000 tons of beans, making it one of the key players in global markets. Argentina dry bean producers mainly grow black beans and whit kidney beans. But this year, Argentina is experiencing their fourth consecutive year of drought, which may mean less dry edible beans on the market. Farmers misses important rains for pulse planting between mid-February and mid-March. According to the Global Pulse Confederation, an estimated forty percent of the crop was planted during that period, that haven’t received needed water.
