For the week ending May 28, 2023, there were 6.3 days suitable for fieldwork in North Dakota. Topsoil moistures rated 17 percent short, and 70 percent adequate. Dry edible bean planting was at 44 percent, slightly behind the 48 percent average. However, farmers are still well ahead of last year, when dry bean planting was at 17 percent.
