Agriculture Represented at White House Hunger Conference

President Joe Biden wants to end hunger by 2030. That benchmark was announced during the White House Conference on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. The administration wants an additional 9 million school children to receive free school meals. Moving forward, National Cattlemen’s Beef Association CEO Colin Woodall said the producers must be part of the conversation. “All of these groups that attended, whether it’s a charity, a non-government organization, whatever it may be, they have to understand it doesn’t matter what they want if they’re not supporting the farmers and ranchers that actually produce the food. That was a discussion point that was missing today.”
