USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service has released a report on crop values. In North Dakota, the value of dry edible bean production in 2021 totaled $247 million, down 33 percent from the previous year. North Dakota’s price is projected to average $38.60 per hundredweight, up $9.70 from the last marketing year. Minnesota’s dry bean production is valued at $172 million. That’s down from $194 million one year ago. The average price for dry edible beans was $37.40 per hundredweight, up from $35.10 in 2020.
