President Trump Comments on COVID Assistance Bill

President Donald Trump is describing the new COVID assistance bill as a ‘disgrace.’ In a video prepared and released by the White House, Trump asked Congress to pass a new bill that would increase the personal stimulus checks from $600 to $2,000. Trump also says there is too much wasteful spending in the $2.3 trillion package.

“Congress found plenty of money for foreign countries, lobbyists and special interest while sending the bear minimum to the American people. It wasn’t their fault. It was China’s fault.” Trump did not say he would veto the legislation, but he wants a new bill from Congress. This bill passed by Congress on Monday includes $13 billion in relief for agriculture.
