For North Dakota, the dry bean crop is rated 42 percent fair and 61 percent good. 46 percent of dry edible beans are blooming, well ahead of last year’s 13 percent and the 41 percent average. Setting pods is at six percent. For Minnesota, dry beans reached 64 percent bloom with 25 percent of the crop setting pods. The bean crop is rated 75 percent good to excellent.
