This week members of U.S. Dry Bean Council participated in an industry fly-in to Washington D.C. and met with several Congressional offices of the states of ID, ND, MN, TN, CO, NE, KS. The delegation had the opportunity to meet with the House Ag Committee representation to discuss the upcoming farm bill and international trade. Those visiting included NBGA-U.S. Dry Bean delegate Kevin Regan, Steve Savell of Bush Brothers, David Scholand of Central Valley Bean, Lynn Rueter of Nebraska Dry Bean Commission, Neil Durrant of Big D Ranch, Dave Weber of New Alliance Co-op, Sheldon Bancroft of Trinidad Benham as well as NBGA Communication & Marketing Director Jed Brazier.
