USDA is making funds available for farmers who participate in voluntary conservation programs and adopt climate-smart practices. Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack said the Inflation Reduction Act provided additional funding for the Environmental Quality Incentives Program, Conservation Stewardship Program, the Regional Conservation Partnership Program and the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program. Applications for land and wetland easements for this funding cycle must be submitted by March 17.
