Rail, river and trucking issues are in the headlines. However, UPL North American Head Craig Brekkas says the supply chain situation is improving. “Certainly, last year was an extremely challenging year and I expect that this year will be challenging, but UPL is well-positioned,” said Brekkas. “We’re one of the few organizations who has invested heavily in capacity over the last ten years.” Product shortages were seen this past year due to logistical problems. “As we look towards 2023, we’re well in front of it.” UPL has been known as a post-patent company. Brekkas said is now partnering with technology companies to fill specific needs to the North American grower.
