Neonics ‘Likely Adverse’ Endangered Species, Says EPA

The Environmental Protection Agency has released its final Endangered Species Act biological evaluations for three neonicotinoid insecticides. The report says these neonics likely adversely affect most threatened or endangered species. The Center for Food Safety initiated the lawsuit that launched this investigation and said the EPA decision should result in banning the seed treatment. The American Soybean Association and American Farm Bureau Federation are voicing frustration, saying the EPA overstate the impact neonics have on endangered species and their habitats.
