Albaugh, which is the largest privately-owned producer of off-patent crop protection products, has an agreement to acquire Rotam for $197 million. Rotam is based in Hong Kong and has a broad portfolio of crop protection products. The boards of both companies have approved the deal, but the merger still faces a vote by Rotam shareholders on February 8.
