U.S. Dry Bean Export Report

From September through November 2018, the U.S. exported 113,848 metric tons (MT) of dry beans. Of that amount, 20,263 MT went to countries in South and Central America and the Caribbean.
 
The top destinations in the region were the Dominican Republic (9,506 MT), Colombia (2,821 MT), Panama (1,618 MT), Guatemala (1,483 MT), and Haiti (1,398 MT). These five destinations accounted for 83 percent of all U.S. dry bean shipments to the region.
 
The top U.S. bean classes exported to the region were pinto beans (6,015 MT), black beans (2,969 MT), navy beans (2,651 MT), light red kidney beans (2,218 MT) and small red beans (1,212 MT).
