Michigan Representative Elissa Slotkin and Oregon Representative Lori Chavez-DeRemer introduced a bipartisan bill that would expand and enhance the current Specialty Crop Block Grant program, which provides assistance to specialty crop growers. The legislation would increase funding by $15 million to $100 million a year, strengthen state requirements and reinforce the purpose of providing competitiveness of specialty crop producers. Specialty Crop Farm Bill Alliance endorsed the bill.
