According to the latest crop progress report, Minnesota’s dry edible bean crop reached 52 percent blooming with seven percent of the crop setting pods. Dry edible bean conditions were rated 56 percent good to excellent. North Dakota dry edible beans rated 14 percent poor, 41 percent fair, and 42 percent good. Edible beans in North Dakota are at 20 percent bloom, way ahead of last year’s six percent.
