Manitoba Planting Progress

Dry bean planting has started is at 20 percent complete in Canada, according to the Manitoba crop report. Producers have started with pinto, navy, and black beans. Kidney and cranberry beans are slightly delayed and should be going in later on this week. Overall conditions in the central and eastern regions have received less than the normal 60 percent precipitation, but the northwest, and along the southwest, U.S. border, areas are near normal precipitation.
