Edible Beans Leave Week on a Firmer Note

Dry edible bean markets finished the week on a modestly firmer note as markets look towards the North American domestic supply situation in the upcoming year. Brazil’s updated production estimates were reduced from its March estimates with a moderate increase in average yields of this year’s crop. The U.S. dry bean price index advanced 0.6 points on the week to close at 100. The global pulse price was left unchanged at 102, and the Canadian index increased by .4 points.
