Dry bean emergence in North Dakota is at 97 percent, with blooming just beginning at one percent. The crop is ratings increased to 81 percent good to excellent. One percent is rated poor to very poor. In Minnesota, emergence is at 96 percent. The crop is rated 69 percent good to excellent and three percent poor to very poor.
Fifty-four percent of the crop in Idaho is rated good to excellent, with 92 percent emerged. In Oregon, 76 percent is rated good to excellent and 99 percent is emerged. Eighty-eight percent of dry beans in Washington are in good to excellent condition.
USDA is reporting 93 percent of Montana dry beans and chickpeas are emerging, on track with last year’s average. The Wyoming dry bean is 73 percent emerged and three percent is blooming. Planting is at 80 percent in Colorado and 54 percent emergence. The Michigan dry bean crop is 65 percent planted, compared to 31 percent the week prior, and 25 percent are emerged.
