Katia Could Impact Mexico Crops
September 08, 2017

Hurricane Katia is taking aim at Veracruz, Mexico. That’s an area known for the production of sugarcane, rice and citrus crops. Damage to production areas is expected in central Veracruz, but mostly near the coast and closer to the center of the storm. Heavy rain and breezy conditions might cause some bean droppage, depending on the inland areas impacted.
